Ms. Beth Dugan
Ms. Dugan obtained her Master and Bachelor of Science degrees in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts. She has more than twenty-five years of experience in the industry, including management level positions at Sheraton Hotel and other hotels and restaurants. She has also worked in operations, financial management, and marketing in several of her positions.
As the owner of FoodWrite, Ms. Dugan has written texts, software manuals, articles, and trade show sheets for culinary professionals; this work compliments her private publications and referred journal articles in the industry. In addition, Ms. Dugan has more than twenty years experience teaching culinary and hospitality management at the college level for a number of schools, including The Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online Division. Ms. Dugan has served as a Subject Matter Expert for a number of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online Division’s online courses and as a reviewer for all new and redeveloped culinary online courses. She created the curriculum map for the online Culinary Management program, ensuring that all of the competencies were met via assignments. She is an active member of the Council of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Educators (CHRIE), and frequently donates her culinary expertise to lofcal charity fundraisers. She is currently taking classes in the Doctorate of Business Administration program at Argosy University.
Mr. Seth Selke
Mr. Selke received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and a Master’s degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Learning Management at Walden University. Before accepting a full time teaching position with The Art Institute of Pittsburgh – Online Division, Mr. Selke taught a variety of business and technology courses for Ivy Tech Community College in Richmond, Indiana. He is a co-author of the publication "Crossing the Digital Divide: The Application of Effective and Efficient Technology Strategies for Graduate Students" (2006) and presented it at the Second Annual Conference on Applied Management and Decision Sciences. He is a regular presenter at doctoral residencies for Walden University.
